Volunteers Amber and Andrea earned volunteer hours towards their school scholarships at a recent SADRA event. Money from shirt sales went to support the SADRA scholarship program, the EMTs and injured riders.
When the Sarasota Area Dirt Riders Association (SADRA) was formed in 1978, there was plenty of unpaved land in the area, but not many places that were off-road vehicle friendly. So it was a perfect time to start a club for people who love off-road riding.
The founders of the club discovered there were many people who wanted to get out and ride their motorcycles and ATVs on the trails but needed places to go where they wouldn’t get in trouble for it.
