Wheatley, Mattmuller tops in Class 7A

Mattmuller was named Class 7A Player of the Year and is a finalist for PrepVolleyball.com National Senior Player of the Year.
The individual accolades are starting to mount for the state champion Venice High girls volleyball team.
Head coach Brian Wheatley and senior outside hitter Holly Mattmuller were named Class 7A Coach of the Year and Player of the Year, respectively. Wheatley is now in the running for the 2012 Florida Dairy Farmers Coach of the Year award while Mattmuller is among eight finalists for Florida’s Miss Volleyball. The results will be announced in the next month.
