Pattie Forshey, 47, of Venice, ,formally of Hyde Park, N.Y., died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012. Survivors include her parents Lorraine and “Chick” Forshey, of Venice; sister, Debi Stutz of Virginia; and brother, Doug Forshey of Virginia.

Pattie loved gardening and started her own Internet horticulture club, Heirloom Growers Garden, in 2002. She has more than 377 members. She also had an avid love of horses, bringing her own pet from New York when she relocated here in 1991.

After 31 years, she lost her battle with anorexia. She will be missed by many, including her church family at Colonial Baptist.

Services: Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Ewing Funeral Home.
