Josephine Kowalchuk, born May 21, 1910, to George and Mary Koval in Dunmore, Pa., passed to her heavenly rest place Monday, Dec. 3, 2012.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ann Niesman of Phoenix, Ariz.; and several nephews and nieces.

After her move from New Jersey to Venice in 1995, she became a member of the American Legion Auxillary of Post 159 and 80 and 40 of 772.

Josephine has joined her husband, Alexander, and all of her Koval siblings.

Services: A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Epiphany Cathedral. Arrangements are by Ewing Funeral Home.
