Richard W. Bruennig

Richard William Bruennig passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012. He was born June 13, 1946.

Rick was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was an automotive technician by trade with expertise in Jaguar, Lexus, Rolls-Royce and Chrysler, as well as other foreign and domestic models.

He was a skilled craftsman, designing and installing custom wood consoles for limousines. He even helped a friend and former employer, Tim Heath, remodel the interior of his motor home when it was damaged by water leaks. He was very meticulous and a perfectionist at heart. His last job was with Bill Barrett’s Auto Service, whom he enjoyed working with very much. He was always ready and willing to help a friend in need.

He was a 15-year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3482 and a weekly fixture at bingo.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Bruennig. He was loved by many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Services: There will be a celebration of his life at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 612 Colonia Lane, Nokomis.
