The Publix in Nokomis is going to close for remodeling several months before a new store is scheduled to open at Laurel Road and Pinebrook Road.

“Yes, it’s official, we will be closing our Nokomis location, 1091 Tamiami Trail North, in Nokomis Village Shoppes, on March 30,” said Shannon Patten, the Media & Community Relations manager for Publix . “All of the associates at that location will be transferring to surrounding Publix stores.
