PUNTA GORDA — Eric Schappacher’s fourth hit drove home Ryan Dyson to give Braden River High School a nine-inning, 5-4 win Thursday night against Charlotte in a District 7A-11 battle.

Dyson reached on an error by Dillon McDermott to start the ninth. After advancing to third on a bunt and a fly ball to right, Schappacher lined a single off Charlotte’s Chaz Richards to give Braden River (5-10, 3-7) the lead.
