Venice police sued over alleged false arrest

A Venice man who used another man’s credit to purchase a motor home is suing the Venice Police Department for false arrest.
Larry M. Ervans is suing retired detective Howard Dunn and VPD for $500,000 in the United States Middle District Court in Tampa over an arrest made in 2009.
