Niemann aims for movement

SARASOTA — Jeff Niemann’s velocity was a little off Thursday in a start against Baltimore, but he and manager Joe Maddon said there was nothing to worry about.
“He was fine. There were no issues,” Maddon said. “Velocity started out low and then it came up a little bit, but the movement was good.”
