Sarasota Robotics team wins top award

Members of the 3627 Jungle Robotics team, Pine View seniors Nicolas Dixneuf and Zachary Schultz, make quick adjustments to the robot's code between matches at the Regional FIRST Robotics Competition in Orlando earlier this month March.
Competing with 62 other teams from around the state at the Orlando Regional FIRST Robotics Competition, Sarasota’s Jungle Robotics Team won the Chairman’s Award, the highest regional honor the organization bestows.
The award was presented to the team March 9 at the University of Central Florida Arena for promoting science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) initiatives throughout the Sarasota community.
