PORT CHARLOTTE — Marietta College let Salem State back in the game with a four-run ninth inning, but stopped the Viking’s upset bid with two runs in the 10th for a 7-6 victory in the Snowbird Baseball Classic on Tuesday.

The No. 2 Pioneers (5-1) got a solid start from freshman Mike Finlan, who went eight innings while striking out five and allowing one run.
