‘Men Behind Bars’ fundraiser

Public Defender Elliot C. Metcalfe Jr. will be honored at the “Men Behind Bars” fundraiser March 13, 6-9 p.m., at Michael’s On East, Sarasota, for his dedication to helping people turn around their lives. Project 180, a program that helps men behind bars successfully re-enter society, will host the event. Tickets cost $100 each, $180 per couple, $720 per table of eight, and are available at Project180Reentry.com.
