Transportation drives joint meet

As Sarasota and Charlotte counties look to improve and widen River Road from Englewood to Interstate 75, two options include making portions of the road a toll road or even turning the road into a state road.
However any significant changes could be as far away as 15 years, Sarasota County officials said Friday.
