NORTH PORT — With the “Texas tiebreaker” rule in place in the eighth inning, North Port High School took advantage on its way to beating Charlotte 6-5 on Thursday night.

Trailing 5-4, the Bobcats scored twice in the bottom of the eighth thanks to the rule, which allowed North Port to start by putting its last player out in the previous inning, Kylie Bell, at second base with no outs.
