After 67 cruises and visits to seven continents, my husband Ron and I finally visited Indonesia’s Komodo Island to see its famous giant lizards.

The visit was one of several stopovers on a 16-day cruise aboard Holland America’s Volendam in December, booked through Barbara Dunham at GM World Travel in Venice.
