NORTH PORT — North Port High School’s softball team had its chances but couldn’t hold off Venice on Thursday night as the Indians rallied for a 2-1 nondistrict victory.
“We played a good game,” North Port first-year coach Amanda Wathen said. “The did everything we asked of them and they are improving.”
