Multiple professional pilots at the airport said if the ditch had not stopped the plane, it could have gotten into the air and possibly crashed into the festival.

An airplane unexpectedly started taxiing at the Venice Airport Saturday, Feb. 23 when the pilot exited the plane to look at the propeller.
The Piper Malibu Mirage was stopped from causing damage when it went off the tarmac and hit a ditch. Nobody was hurt.
