The board of directors of Gulf Coast Community Foundation has approved $4.15 million in grants, including $322,000 in five “leveraged” grants from endowed charitable funds at the foundation and more than $3.2 million in grants recommended by donors.

Leveraged grants typically involve multiple partners and require a commitment of funding from the grantee or other sources in order to extend the impact of the proposed project.
