Indians edge Pirates on grand slam

VENICE — The sixth inning was eventful for both the Port Charlotte High School softball team and host Venice Tuesday night in a District 7A-11 game.

Unfortunately for the Pirates, Venice had the last laugh as it scored four runs on a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth to beat Port Charlotte 4-3.
