An Englewood man was sentenced to a year of probation after he pleaded no contest Tuesday to killing his neighbor’s Jack Russell terrier.
Retired firefighter and deputy sheriff Paul Peter Roskowski, 76, of the 1100 block of Brown St., was arrested in May after authorities said he killed Ginger, a 7-month-old terrier, and threw her body into a canal.
