Niemann nixes BP worries

PORT CHARLOTTE — For Tampa Bay’s first round of live batting practice on Monday, Jeff Niemann had something extra to worry about.
The field on which he was scheduled to throw his session faces the players’ parking lot, and there had been several close calls when hitters took BP from a coach the day before.
