Cates contends with broken toe

Nova Southeastern University sophomore swimmer Addison Cates has endured a discouraging season.
The Charlotte High School graduate has been unable to compete regularly because of injured toes, including one broken in multiple places, according to emails from Whitney Cates, Addison’s mother.
