NORTH PORT — The city has received “congestion mitigation” grant funding from the Federal Highway Administration through the Sarasota/Manatee Metropolitan Planning Organization to construct right-turn lanes on Biscayne Drive at U.S. 41 and on Price Boulevard at Biscayne.

According to Ben Newman, project manager, the grant amount is $574,334 for the construction of the right-turn lane on Biscayne and 41. For construction of the turn lane on Price at Biscayne, the grant is $65,418.
