Barber, Bobcats blast Mustangs
BRADENTON — The North Port High School boys basketball team completed its regular-season sweep of Lakewood Ranch on Wednesday night behind 24 points from Malik Barber in a 45-34 win.
Barber, a regular starter for the Bobcats (10-10), began the game on the bench because coach Curt Allen didn’t want him to get into early foul trouble. As a result, he helped the Bobcats’ bench outscore the Mustangs’ starters 35-10.
