PORT CHARLOTTE — If Port Charlotte High School is going to make a big run into the boys basketball postseason, it will be the team’s defense leading the way. Or so says Bill Specht, and he’s been coaching the Pirates long enough to know.
If the Pirates’ defense can play like it did early in a 77-39 blowout victory over Bayshore on Wednesday night, Port Charlotte could go very far indeed.
