The annual downtown Christmas Walk, one of the most festive events of the holidays, takes place Thursday, Dec. 6, when most of the restaurants and stores on Tampa, Venice, Miami and Nokomis avenues and Nassau Street stay open till 8 p.m.

“This is our annual thank-you to our customers, with music, entertainment and refreshments throughout the whole of downtown, where stores are decorated and dressed up for the holidays,” said Kathy Crisman, co-owner of Dick’s Shoes and organizer of the event.
