A man incarcerated on a battery charge will face four counts of attempted homicide under charges refiled this week.

Jason Michael Shahan, 36, was charged with five counts of attempted murder of family members dating back to a 2005 arson case on Elaine Street in Venice, but the case ran cold until Shahan was arrested in 2011 on a battery charge in Lee County, and admitted to the prior crime.
