Progress toward changing the name of the Hatchett Creek Bridge to KMI Bridge is being made by Larry Humes, a Kentucky Military Institute alum, Class of 1965, and Patrick Keigher, of Children’s Books & More in the Venice Centre Mall, the former KMI Building.

State Sen. Nancy Detert has agreed to file the necessary bill in March to propose that the bridge be renamed “KMI BRIDGE,” with “Kentucky Military Institute” in smaller print.
