St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church on Sumter Road in North Port has suffered two vile attacks from vandals in the last week. The church lost its fellowship hall in an arson fire in December 2010 and suffered another vandal attack similar to last week’s several months ago.
NORTH PORT — When the Rev. Ray Quiles pulled into St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church to get ready for Sunday morning services on
Oct. 21, he discovered a pair of road construction barriers blocking the entrance to the church’s main parking lot.
“I just thought Public Works was doing some work here ... but I also thought it was a bit unusual for a Sunday morning,” Quiles said Monday.
