Autumn Duyn was recognized Tuesday as the Gulf South Conference defensive player of the week in volleyball.

The University of West Florida sophomore, a Venice High School graduate, reached double figures in digs in three matches. Typically an outside hitter, she had 28 digs against West Georgia in her first outing as a defensive specialist.
