Charlotte County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit detectives arrested a known North Port drug dealer Thursday, authorities reported. Arrested on six charges was Jonathan Nathaniel Bacchus, 22, of the 3800 block of January Ave. Narcotics detectives finally located and apprehended Bacchus at Veterans Boulevard and Atwater Drive in Port Charlotte in connection with two previous undercover drug buys, according to the CCSO. On July 11, Bacchus sold an ounce of hydroponic-grown marijuana to a detective and another ounce on July 31, a report shows.

Bacchus was transported to the Charlotte County Jail on two charges each of sale and delivery of marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He later posted a $17,000 bond and was released from jail. This is his fourth arrest, CCSO records show.
