TALLAHASSEE (AP) — Florida law enforcement officials are reviewing whether or not two people may have broken the law by voting in two different states in a previous election.

The Department of State received complaints about 36 voters who appeared to be registered in both Florida and the states of either Ohio or Rhode Island. The complaint filed by a group called True the Vote asserted that all 36 people had voted in both states.

State election officials reviewed the information and forwarded the names of 2 people on to authorities.

A spokesman for Secretary of State Ken Detzner said the agency may take further action on the remaining names.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has received the information but has not yet decided whether it will launch a criminal investigation.
