NORTH PORT — According to the North Port Police Department, around 1 a.m. today, officers responded to the 8000 block of Cristobal Ave. in reference to a stabbing. The incident stemmed from an argument between two roommates, which resulted in one being stabbed, according to NPPD Capt. Tony Siranni.

The identities of the roommates are not being released at this time, pending an active investigation.
