Fla. teen struck by deputy’s cruiser
BONITA SPRINGS (AP) — A southwest Florida teen is recovering from serious injuries after she was hit by a deputy’s cruiser.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 18-year-old Megan Conway was crossing the road early Saturday morning when she was hit by a Lee County Sheriff’s Office cruiser. Authorities said she walked in front of the cruiser and landed near a drainage ditch along the shoulder of the road.
The deputy was heading to a disorderly call in the area.
