NORTH PORT — The city and district budgets for fiscal year 2012-2013 are up for second reading and expected approval on Tuesday, but none has taken more heat than the one for the North Port Fire Rescue District.

The final FY 2013 budget hearings for the commission and the Solid Waste, Fire Rescue, and Road and Drainage districts begin at 6 p.m. in City Hall chambers, 4970 City Hall Blvd. (off Sumter Boulevard).
