The Sarasota County Commission approved by a 4-1 margin Monday night the tentative fiscal year 2013 budget and a higher millage rate that will raises taxes slightly.

The millage for the tentative $896 million budget has an increase of 0.0528 for Mosquito Control that commissioners adopted July 11. The tentative millage for FY 2013 is 4.0512, up from 3.9984.
