CHARLOTTE COUNTY — Ripped from the passenger seat of a car, Jaime Sepulveda, 33, says he was thrown to the ground as many Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputies drew their guns and pointed them at him and Kareem Lumar James, 30.

“I didn’t know what was
going on,” said Sepulveda, of the Aug. 27 incident at a Sunoco gas station in Port Charlotte. “I kept saying I didn’t do anything, but I was told repeatedly I was a felon and I was going to jail.”
