PUNTA GORDA — Charlotte High School returned almost its whole squad from last season, and its experience is showing in early matches.

The Tarpons (3-0) beat Lemon Bay and Venice on Wednesday at Deep Creek Golf Club. Freshman Jimmy Laurin was medalist with an even-par 36 as Charlotte scored 160 to 166 for Lemon Bay and 169 for the Indians.
