Body found on Interstate 75

Johnny Worlds, who was driving his truck from Tampa to Miami, explains where the body of an unidentified woman was dragged underneath his rig early Thursday morning. Worlds was one of several motorists who ran over the body, which was lying on Interstate 75.

Traffic was backed up on Interstate 75 as Florida Highway Patrol personnel investigated a body that was run over multiple times early Thursday morning.
Johnny Worlds was driving a semi-truck from Tampa to Miami before dawn Thursday morning when he came upon a line of cars pulled onto the shoulder of Interstate 75 just south of Charlotte Harbor. As he slowed his rig, he noticed a woman pointing and waving frantically. That’s when he saw a body lying in the road, on its side, almost as if the person were taking a nap.
His rig rolled over the body and dragged it some distance before he was able to fully stop. Other than a pair of legs in black pants, Worlds said he couldn’t even recognize it as a human being when he finally got a look at it.
