Late Monday a jury ruled in favor of the city of Venice in a federal lawsuit filed by a police officer, say city officials.

Venice police officer Demitri Serianni claimed he was harassed by fellow officers and a former police chief as retaliation for testifying on behalf of another officer in a separate police disciplinary proceeding. Serianni’s attorney argued it created a hostile work environment.
