County voters wanting to avoid long lines for the Aug. 14 primary election can take advantage of early voting beginning this weekend.

The early voting period begins Saturday and runs for eight days. Five polling locations will be available throughout the county, including at the Robert L. Anderson Administration Building, Room 114, 4000 South Tamiami Trail, South Venice, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
