Following two years of construction, the new six-lane portion of Interstate 75 north of Venice is opening next week — weather permitting, as always.

Contractor Astaldi Construction Corporation expects this new section will be opened Monday, confirmed Trudy Gerena, public information officer for Valerin Group.
