City budget outlook rosy

Venice City Manager Ed Lavallee introduced his first budget on Tuesday, recommending city council adopt the rollback rate of 2.9653 mills to fund the fiscal year 2012-13 budget.
He also requested $300,000 from reserves for a 2 percent salary bonus for staff and other expenses.
