The Venice Housing Authority is moving forward with plans to build a four-story senior housing structure with 61 units on the site of the old Grove Terrace Apartments off East Venice Avenue. The project is contingent upon securing HUD housing credits in November. Phase 2 will consist of another 50-plus single and family units.
The Venice Housing Authority has been awarded the tax credits it will rely upon to fund its low-income redevelopment project on Grove Terrace.
The Florida Housing Finance Corporation will allocate $1,245,000 annually in tax credits to VHA for the next 10 years. The corporation’s board approved the tax credits June 8.
