All six lanes of Interstate 75 around Venice are expected to be opened to motorists at the end of this month, weather permitting, said Trudy Gerena, public information officer with Valerin Group, for the Florida Department of Transportation.

Minor work will continue, with completion of the widening project from State Road 681 to North River Road anticipated in mid-August, weather permitting.
