Sarasota’s pension reforms

Venice policymakers have been monitoring the city of Sarasota’s pension reform efforts.
Three years in the making, the effort culminated Monday evening in the adoption of a new pension ordinance, imposing a series of changes on the police pension fund. The ordinance must still undergo a second reading.
