Bennett to seek re-election
Venice City Council member Jim Bennett has suggested that the city should move forward with saving the arena and possibly even build a new bridge at one point in planning long-term for Venice's future.
Sawgrass resident and semi-retired attorney Jim Bennett announced this week he will seek a second three-year term on Venice City Council.
Known as a moderate, Bennett has a long history with planning boards, having served almost 30 years on the New Canaan (Conn.) Planning and Zoning Commission and the Southwestern Regional Planning Agency in Stamford, Conn.
