Grants awarded this week by Gulf Coast Community Foundation will help local nonprofit organizations assist some of the neediest residents in the region.

In all, Gulf Coast’s board of directors approved $451,740 in operating and program grants to 10 organizations in the foundation’s latest grant cycle.
