Metropolitan Planning Organization to fund mobility study

The city of Venice will be receiving $240,000 from the Sarasota/Manatee Metropolitan Planning Organization to do a formal downtown mobility study, said Michael Howe, executive director, speaking this week in Venice.

It follows a city council request from about three years ago; the money will be available July 1.
