The State Attorney’s Office is satisfied with the Charlotte County Medical Examiner’s report that determined the dead
infant found in the freezer of a Punta Gorda home last week was stillborn.

A hearing had been called Tuesday by the state to allow a Miami-Dade County medical examiner to examine the work of Dr. Riazul Imami, Charlotte County’s medical examiner, but prosecutors called off the hearing in support of Imami’s report.
